Knysna Yacht Club The Knysna Yacht Club is internationally renowned for its hospitality and facilities and visiting yachts are always welcome. Established In 1910, the Knysna Yacht club has steadily grown over the years and now boasts one of that larger Yacht Club memberships in South Africa. The club’s sailing and canoeing activities as well as other water sports, coupled with it’s association to Sanparks, the Sea Cadets and NSRI are testament to its importance in the community as an essential link between the town of Knysna and the waters of the lagoon. The clubhouse and other facilities of the club boast arguably one of the most beautiful locations in the Knysna area, surrounded by, and floating above the waters of the Knysna lagoon and overlooking it’s Yacht basin. ROTARY CLUB OF KNYSNA Our club is in Rotary District 9350 and was chartered in 1962. It currently has about 40 permanent members. In addition we have a number of “swallow” members – Rotarians who spend part of the year in Knysna and part of the year in their home country. The club is committed to working tirelessly according to the Rotary principle of “Service above Self”. Funds are raised to support our many community programmes and projects in the greater Knysna area. Meetings Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 12:30 for 13:00 at the Knysna Yacht Club, Waterfront, Knysna. Rotary has 1.4 million members and 46 000 clubs spread across the world. The club is vibrant and active, committed to working tirelessly according to the Rotary principle of “Service above Self”. Funds are raised to support our many community programmes and projects in the greater Knysna area.
