Still very much at the helm of Knysna Yamaha is Hugh Mackenzie who is involved with all facets of the business having set up and opened Knysna Marine some 34 years ago back in 1983. Even before then Hugh worked in Johannesburg for 10 years where he set up and ran Linex Yamaha’s Marine operation. Working closely with his son Gary, they ensure that the team of certified Yamaha technicians are more than capable of handling any necessary boat or engine maintenance.
The Showroom in the Main Street of Knysna is led by Chris Stubbs, formerly of Linex Yamaha has been with his brother in law Hugh MacKenzie in Knysna for over 9 years with a total of 26 years experience in the marine industry.
This includes the servicing of both Yamaha and other brands’ engines, as well as inflatable boat repairs, fibre-glass repairs, stainless steel work, foaming flotation for older boats, overall boat rigging, engine rebuilds and propeller repairs.
